FieldTrend
FieldTrend is a predictive SaaS that enables businesses to serve more customers with fewer resources (equipment, labor, and fuel). FieldTrend, previously known as WISRAN, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), has developed a cost allocation technology for shared resources. Today, only an aggregate time and cost data available for logistics but not by activities, customers, services, and jobs to optimize the field services work, such as the fieldwork done in Agriculture, Telecomm, Utilities, Plumbers, Transporters to name a few.
FieldTrend’s initial customer is Ag retailer – Mike German of The Dune Company of Salinas – who is not able to distinguish profit-making customers and activities from those that are loss-makers.
Other customers such as Justin Durdan, Aaron Gingerich – who are progressive farmers out of Midwest – operate 15,000 acres – uses FieldTrend to find out where, why and how much are they losing money by using more resources (equipment, labor, and fuel) than needed.
Currently, they don’t have the visibility of the effectiveness of their resources. They only know the total cost of equipment, labor, and fuel but not by service, job, and customers. FieldTrend has developed a proprietary AI algorithm that classifies each GPS points to compute the time and cost of activities performed by resources shared across customers. No time and cost data requires manual data entry. FieldTrend uses the time and cost data – generated by FieldTrend’s algorithms and not yet otherwise available – to optimize resources that enable businesses to serve more customers with fewer resources.
